Experience
Reza spent the first 10 years of his career as a research and supply development engineer at Ballard Power Systems and Automotive Fuel Cell Cooperation. He found his passion and purpose when he shifted from engineering to a role in human resources. As a Senior HR Generalist at Automotive Fuel Cell Cooperation, Reza managed recruitment, onboarding, and leadership development and went on to become a certified executive coach. In this role, he created a coaching and leadership development program that improved employee engagement levels by 25%, increased leadership effectiveness results by 300%, and reduced employee turnover by 100%. Reza was honored to receive the prestigious PRISM coaching award from the International Coach Federation (ICF) at the national level in 2016, and again at the international level in 2017, for his work co-creating a culture of coaching and development.

The biggest challenge facing today’s leaders is…
keeping up with the immense rate of change that is happening.
One thing I’ve done that I’m proud of…
is helping to close a company with integrity and compassion. The company successfully brought clean energy technology to a stage of maturity that the parent companies could adopt and bring in-house. We provided our employees with continued support, including training and coaching to ensure they found their next successful, satisfying career path. Almost all 150 employees found a job before the company officially closed.
One career move that was risky or took guts was…
I abandoned a 10-year career as a research and supply development engineer and moved into the human resources field where I was responsible for leadership development.
When I’m not working with clients, I’m…
playing competitive tennis matches or dreaming about beating Roger Federer one day.
