Lupe’s many years in public accounting, financial reporting, and professional services have shaped her as a leader and coach. She began her career at PwC in the assurance group, focused on audits across multiple industries including manufacturing, healthcare, and logistics. In this role, Lupe led audit planning and execution of both public and private clients. From there, she joined Denbury Resources, a publicly traded oil and gas company, as a SEC reporting analyst, where she worked in the SEC reporting group, preparing financial reports (10-Ks, 10-Qs) and performing technical accounting research. In 2018, her passion for leadership development led her to make a career pivot to executive coaching. One thing I learned recently is…

that we can think of building habits as a skillset. I think that is a great way to view habits because it makes changes feel more attainable and easier to adopt in our life.

One career move that was risky or took guts…

was leaving my role in financial reporting to start my coaching business. I was the first in my family to go to college and I thought I would work in the financial world for most of my career. However, coaching had such a transformative effect on me that I knew I wanted to pivot and do the same for others.

One place that is special to me is…

Colorado because of its natural beauty. My family and I enjoy visiting in September. I love taking in all of the fresh air and being surrounded by mountains. Last year we were in Snowmass for the annual balloon festival, it was incredibly special to get to sit close to the balloons as they took off.

I’m part of The Boda Group because…

of the values and people. The Boda values that really resonate with me are excellence, curiosity, and humility. I feel incredibly fortunate to work with the amazing team at Boda who really embody the values.
