Experience
Emily is a leadership development designer, facilitator, and consultant. Throughout a decade of experience in the United States Army as an engineer officer, she was recognized for exemplary leadership, organizational innovation, and her abilities as a leader, coach, teacher, and mentor. At increasing levels of responsibility, Emily led soldiers in and out of combat while coaching and empowering her diverse teams to solve complex problems. Her final assignment was as an assistant professor of military science at MIT in Cambridge, Massachusetts. There, Emily designed and delivered leadership and management-focused curricula and facilitated conferences and classroom instruction at MIT, Harvard University, Tufts University, and Wellesley College, including leadership development workshops for staff, faculty and students. After 10 years of active-duty service, Emily left the Army to pursue a civilian career in leadership development. She served as the Head of Strategy for The Leadership Consortium (TLC), a leadership accelerator, where she designed and delivered high impact, inclusive programming and coaching for leaders at best-in-class organizations such as Google, IBM, and HubSpot.
